Diploma Students

Applicants must have an active Christian faith and be member of a church.

Each day is started with team time devotional. This builds relationships in the team and also gives space for practical issues of the day to be discussed.

We would only consider students on a recognized diploma course, those students attending the second year of the course, or with previous formal counselling experience.

We do not provide counselling supervision or expenses. We do however have indemnity insurance and have management supervision where ethical and practice issues are discussed.

We would consider the successful student as a member of our team. Engaging fully in all team activities and training where possible.

Prayer Team

 What is the prayer team?

We believe that praying for our clients is a vital part of the counselling process. Prayer partners do not know who the client is and are therefore seeking God’s input for a client.  They are expected to spend sometime each week praying for the client who has been assigned to them (we operate a number system) No personal or identifiable information is given to the prayer partner and as such they are interceding for the client. If they have a scripture or other impression from God then this is passed onto the Prayer Coordinator and this intern is passed to the counsellor who needs to decide if this is appropriate to the counselling process and this client at this time.

Prayer Team members meet together once a month for supervision with the Prayer Team Coordinator and Practice Manager.

As a team we spend time praying for each other and the work of the Harbour and our clients.

Each team member has an active faith and is a member of a church.

We are looking for more Prayer partners at this time as we commit to our client s that should require a prayer partner one will be assigned to them.

If you feel you would like to serve the Lord in this way then please complete the attached form on the Attachments link below.
